Taylor County Maple Fest
It’s not too late to take in a maple fest, Road Trips Foodies.
The second annual Taylor County Maple Festival is set for April 26, 2014, at the Taylor County Fairgrounds in Medford, Wisconsin.
Maple syrup on pancakes and maple-flavored root beer floats are just two of the taste temptations at the event, which also features cooking contests, maple syrup demonstrations and craft vendors (especially woodworkers who use maple).
It all starts at 8 a.m. with the pancake breakfast.
The sugar maple (Acer saccharum) was designated the state tree of Wisconsin in 1949.
