Craft Beer Week
The fifth annual Craft Beer Week takes place in Chicago, Illinois, May 15 through 25, 2014.
Hundreds of craft beer events are on tap in the greater Chicago area, from special $4 tastings of rare beers to beer dinners.
This year’s theme is “Chicago: A City of Neighborhoods.” The goal of Chicago Craft Beer Week is to entice patrons to explore the depth and breadth of local craft beer and honor those who enrich the community of beer lovers.
The entire schedule is online, but you can also use the handy online map to figure out which events are near where you’re gonna be. (Chicagoland includes the city, of course, but some events are as far flung as Rockford and Oak Forest.
It’s all sponsored by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, a non-profit organization founded in 1997 to promote the development and expansion of the craft beer industry in Illinois.
