Yes: there’s more to N’awlins than Mardi Gras. The New Orleans Wine and Food Experience is set for May 21 through May 24, 2014.
Each year, hundreds of wineries and restaurants participate. Menus feature local flavor and new creations inspired by diverse cuisines. Chefs at restaurants around the city feature special dining evenings throughout the festival.
The weekend also features more than 1,000 wines from around the world, with special tasting events from wineries. There also are grand tasting events, promenade evenings in the French Quarter and a seminar series. Tickets to most events are available online.
