Oregon Chocolate Festival
The 10th annual Oregon Chocolate Festival will be held March 7 through 9, 2014, at the Ashland Springs Hotel, 212 East Main Street,
Ashland, Oregon.
Oregon chocolatiers are featured, with more than 40 vendors presenting a variety of fine chocolates and chocolate-inspired products. Chefs, pastry chefs and candy-makers will demonstrate their favorite recipes, providing cooking tips and baking secrets.
During the festival, judges pick their favorites and award them the title of the Best Chocolate Product in the following categories:
*Best Traditional Use of Chocolate
*Best Truffle
*Best Drinking Chocolate
*Best Use of Chocolate in Baked Goods
*Best Chocolate Candy
*Best Raw Chocolate Product
*Best in Show
Festival-goers can vote for the People’s Choice award winner.
If you really, really love chocolate, Road Trips Foodie, consider buying a ticket for the Chocolate Makers Dinner March 7, 2014. The executive chef from Larks Restaurant, Damon Jones, will create a four-course dinner featuring chocolate in each dish. Reservations are required; cost is $64.
