30th Anniversary Dinner in Le Jules Verne
Have you ever wanted to dine with the legendary chef/restauranteur Alain Ducasse? Here’s your chance, Road Trips Foodies.
On January 30, 2014, Le Jules Verne — the restaurant on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, will celebrate its 30th anniversary with an exclusive dinner attended by Ducasse himself.
There, at 125 meters (more than 820 feet) off the ground, you’ll enjoy a nine-course meal paired with wine — each course paying tribute to the writer known for such novels as “Around the World in 80 Days” and “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”.
There’s valet parking available, and you need to get to the south pillar of the tower between 7 and 8:30 p.m. that evening. The price? €550 per person. Needless to say, advance reservations are necessary.
Le Jules Verne is one of Ducasse’s 24 restaurants in eight countries and, of course, you can make a reservation for lunch or dinner on other days for considerably less than the cost of the anniversary extravaganza.
