Food for Real Film Festival
And, now, for something completely different: a film festival where food is the subject.
The Food for Real Film Festival takes place November 21 through 24, 2013, in Liverpool, England.
The program includes more than 30 food-focused features, documentaries, short films and animations over four days. Among the movies: “The Real Dirt on Farmer John”, “Local to Global Food Shorts (Part One)”, “James and the Giant Peach” and “More than Honey”. Among the workshops: “Outsider Cooking”, “Plant a Pocket Orchard” and “Beiruty Breakfast”.
This is the second edition of Food for Real, sponsored by “socially-engaged, creative food enterprise” Squash Nutrition. The festival seeks to “explore the environmental, cultural and political impacts of the foods we grow, eat, waste and share”.
