Cayman Cookout
It’s a little chilly in most of the U.S. to have a January cookout — so what about heading to the Caribbean, Road Trips Foodies?
Chef Eric Ripert headlines a weekend celebrating food and wine at the Ritz-Carlton resort on Grand Cayman Island.
Don’t think this is a toast-marshmallows-over-a-fire-on-the-beach kind of event. Set for January 16 through 19, 2014, it’s definitely gourmet (albeit with a touch of barefoot elegance).
A roster of chefs, wine experts and spirits blenders will offer tastings, demonstrations, tours and dinners (the whole lineup is, of course, online).
There’s also a cookoff to find the most talented NON-professional chef on Grand Cayman.
