The Apple Fest in Nappanee, Indiana, is set for September 19 through 22, 2013, downtown (map).
The festival — the 38th annual edition — features two stages of free entertainment, craft, commercial and food vendors, carnival rides, a scholarship pageant, road run, tractor pull, apple peeling and pie eating contests.
You won’t want to miss Indiana’s largest Baked Apple Pie, a 600 pound, seven-foot-diameter apple pie — yes, see the photo, above! A complete schedule is available online.
