Fredericksburg Oktoberfest

Fredericksburg (map) celebrates its German heritage each year at an Oktoberfest on the Marktplatz that includes German music, food and drink, arts and crafts, and a children’s area.
This year — the 33rd — it’ll be the weekend of October 4 through 6, 2013.
There’ll be three stages with live entertainment, a German Bier Tent and Oktoberfest Vineyard area plus an OkTUBAfest and a Chicken Dance on Main. Hours are 6 p.m. to midnight October 4, 10 a.m. to midnight October 5 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. October 6.
Admission is $7 for adults, $1 for kids 6 to 12, and under 6 are free. Tickets are available online until September 25, including two- and three-day discounted passes. (After that, pay at the gate.)
