How about a wine festival in historic style? That’s what’s promised at Vintage & Vine, hosted by the Strawbery Banke Museum, 14 Hancock Street, Portsmouth, New Hampshire (map). The fest takes place on the museum grounds from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. September 7, 2013.
Vintage & Vine 2013 features fine wines from around the world, imaginative cuisine prepared by seacoast chefs and an auction of distinctive experiences and gifts. The annual event showcases just-gathered, seasonal items from local farmers, fishermen and the Museum’s gardens.
Needless to say, you must be 21 to attend. Grand Tasting admission is $40.
Proceeds support the nonprofit Museum’s preservation efforts and its History Within Reach program each year.
