Taste of Bloomington
I know what you’re thinking, Road Trips Foodies, how could a college town have a great restaurant scene? Don’t the students subsist on nachos and beer?
Well, yeah: you’ll find those eateries in Bloomington, Indiana — home of Indiana University — but you’ll also find award-winning restaurants such as FARMbloomington and Restaurant Tallent.
Hence: Taste of Bloomington. This year’s feast, the 31st, will take place from 3 to 11 p.m. June 22, 2013, at Showers Common (Seventh & Morton Streets), Bloomington, Indiana (map).
Tickets will be available on the day of the event. Admission prices are $7 per person; children under 12 are free. All food items are reasonably priced (generally less than $5 each). Thankfully, Taste of Bloomington is a non-smoking event.
