Georgia Mountains Farm Tour
Driving in Northeast Georgia this weekend, Road Trips Foodies? You’re just in time for the Georgia Mountains Farm Tour.
From 1 to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday (June 15 and 16, 2013), you can visit any of 12 farms in Habersham, White, Rabun, Stephens, and neighboring counties. There also are community gardens and stops to sample local foods prepared by local chefs. You can download a copy of the tour map here.
It’s hosted by the Soque River Watershed Association and will help benefit the Georgia Mountains Farmers Network.
Tour tickets are $35 (cash or check only) from any participating farm on the day of the event, or stop by the SRWA office, 1418 Washington Street, Clarkesville, Georgia. (Note that different farms are participating on different days.)
