World Food Travel Summit

As we know, food tourism is one of the hottest sectors of the travel industry, spurred by celebrity chef shows, the Food Network and a renewed emphasis on locavore food and drink.
If you’re involved in growing food or in the food, drink or hospitality businesses, you might want to consider attending the World Food Travel Summit, to be held September 21 through 24, 2013, in Gothenburg, Sweden. Held biennially, it’s the largest event for food tourism professionals.
The theme for this year’s summit is the “New Wave” in food tourism — a cutting edge industry. It’s sponsored by the World Food Travel Association, whose mission is preserving and promoting the world’s food and drink cultures through travel.
