The Passion for Food Festival (“Passion för Mat” in Swedish), takes place March 1 through 3, 2013, in Eriksbergshallen, Gothenburg, Sweden (map).
Your Road Trips Foodie isn’t sure which she’d like to see more: a cookoff featuring four of Sweden’s top chefs or the People’s Omelette Championships.
Of course, there’s a Cookery School and a Taste Workshop as well as goodies purveyed by all sorts of producers of food and drink.
A Taste of West Sweden will offer organic produce, and local restauranteurs will serve up locally-sourced food.
Gothenburg was named the ‘Culinary Capital of Sweden’ in 2012’ by Sweden´s Minister of Agriculture, Eskil Erlandsson.
