Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival
The 28th annual Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival brings together wine, spirit and food lovers for a six-day fest March 4 through 9, 2013. All sorts of events are planned.
Great Chefs of the South Wine Dinners are held all six evenings, so get your tickets in advance, Road Trips Foodies and plan your drive.
The Grand Tasting & Silent Auction is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 8, 2013, at the Sea Pines Country Club (tickets are $90 per person — but you get to keep the souvenir tasting glass).
There’s also a culinary court, chef cooking demonstrations and a chance to meet a gaggle of cookbook authors.
New This Year:
*Grape Stomping Competition that includes a “Lucy” look-alike contest (you do remember that classic episode of “I Love Lucy”, don’t you? That’s what Nick at Nite is for!).
*Artisan Market features foods, arts & crafts, wine and Lowcountry specialty items – everything from olive oils and cheeses, to artwork and hand-made wine gift items.
*Vine to Wine is a series of speakers and panel discussions on March 9, 2013, that will cover various wine related topics.
*Lunch & Learn Series is scheduled each day.
