Tour operator Myths and Mountains has short summer excursions to Ladakh.
After a day in Delhi, you fly nto Leh, the capital of Ladakh, often called “Little Tibet”. Here you spend a week visiting the different monasteries and participating in one of the many summer festivals, depending on the dates you choose. (Departures are May 30, 2013; July 14, 2013, and August 31, 2013).
Along the way, you can visit with the shaman, stay in a local home and explore the fascinating blend of the Buddhist and Muslim cultures. Land costs start at $2,795.00 per person.
