The influence of German immigration on Texas is on display during the annual Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Set for October 5, 6 and 7, 2012, the fest is now in its 32nd year.
New this year is Strassen Zelt, located on Adams Street, with a souvenir booth, photo booth and Paulaner Bier.
Adding to the fun is OktubaFest and a a “Chicken Dance On Main Street in Front of the Square”.
Locals say the best part of the Oktoberfest is the eating and imbibing. There’ll be both German and Mexican-American foods plus more than 50 varieties of American, Texan and imported beers.
