Learning How to Cook Italian-Style

Driving through Alabama, Road Trips Foodies? Consider scheduling your journey to include a stop for an Italian cooking class at Ariccia Trattoria & Bar in the Hotel at Auburn University, 241 South College Street, Auburn, Alabama (map).

The Tour d’Italia cooking classes are led by Chef Garry Anderson and will focus on traditional Italian dishes from various regions in Italy. Foodies will receive hands-on instruction on preparing various pastas, sauces and entrees. Throughout the class, attendees will be able to sample their creations in different courses that will be paired with select wines.

At the end of the evening, revelers will receive a take-away basket containing fresh pasta, basil pesto (made with basil from the Ariccia herb garden), Ariccia’s traditional tomato sauce, a small block of cheese from the featured region, and a signature Ariccia apron.
