What could be better than pairing chocolate with shopping for nifty holiday gifts?
Road Trips Foodies who are in Upstate New York the first weekend in December should put the seventh annual New York State Museum Chocolate Expo and Holiday Gift Market on their itineraries.
It’s held from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. December 2, 2012, in the museum at the Cultural Education Center, 222 Madison Avenue, Albany, New York (map). Admission is $3 per person and children ages 12 and under are free.
Stroll through the galleries featuring a selection of locally crafted chocolates, confections, specialty foods, jewelry, body products and more.
The same day, the 2012 Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration takes place from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.
