Cliché alert! Any way you slice it, visitors can expect to have bushels of fun at the 20th annual Apple Festival, set for September 28, 29 and 30, 2012, in Long Grove, Illinois.
Road Trips Foodies can explore many ways to enjoy fall’s favorite fruit – from apple pies and apple cider donuts to hot apple cider, caramel apple lattes, apple martinis, and more.
Local restaurants and specialty shops will carry a wide range of apple-inspired treats, while local farmers will have baskets full of a variety of tree-ripened apples. There’s an apple doughnut eating contest, strolling street performers and live music, too.
