Wine and Food Festival in Newport
The seventh annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival takes place September 21 through 23, 2012, at Rosecliff, The Elms & Marble House in Newport, Rhode Island (map).
Showcase event is Brunch with Jacques and Claudine Pépin (pictured, at left) on September 22, 2012. Only 20 tickets will be sold to this foodie spectacular, featuring the father-daughter duo. The menu will be inspired by recipes from Essential Pépin, the wines by Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte and the setting is the Gold Room at Marble House (map).
Other highlights: a two-day Grand Tasting with over 100 wineries on the lawn of Marble House, celebrity chef appearances and cooking demonstrations by national and regional personalities, seminars with leading wine experts, a “Wine & Rosecliff” gala celebration and a Collectible Wine Dinner. It’s all sponsored by The Preservation Society of Newport County.
