Mason-Dixon Wine Trail
Driving in the mid-Atlantic this summer, Road Trips Floodies?
Sip, savor and explore the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail. Yes: you guessed it. The trail is concentrated within a short drive of the Mason-Dixon Line separating southern Pennsylvania from northern Maryland (and “the South” from “the North”).
Sixteen family-owned wineries offer tastes along the way, in venues from tiny, tucked-away wine cellars to grand tasting rooms with spectacular views.
Newest addition is Detour Winery, just south of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in Detour, Maryland. It specializes in fruit and dessert wines, while also focusing on custom blends of American, vinifera and French hybrids.
