BBQ & Music Festival

Florida isn’t exactly known for its barbecue, but that doesn’t stop the west coast city of Punta Gorda from staging a BBQ & Music Festival in Laishley Park (map) March 2 through 4, 2012.
The BBQ competition for the pros takes place all day on March 3 (gates open at 11 a.m., and the awards ceremony is set for 5 p.m.). Amateurs offer up their barbecue to the judging on March 4 (same hours).
Yes, Road Trips Foodies, festival-goers get to sample the BBQ!
