The 17th Annual Watsonville Strawberry Festival is set for August 6 and 7, 2011, around the Civic Plaza on Main, Peck and Union streets in downtown Watsonville, California.
Parking is available in the civic plaza parking garage (entrance is on Rodriguez Street); the fee is $5.
Strawberries are a $334+ million industry in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties of California, where strawberry production begins in March and extends through November. The offshore breezes from the Pacific Ocean provide year-round mild temperatures and an ideal climate for growing strawberries.
