Your Road Trips Foodie‘s favorite fruit is the fig, so obviously she’s making plans to attend the eighth annual Fig Fest on the Ag East Lawn of Fresno State University in Fresno, California.
In addition to fresh and dried California figs, there’ll be all sorts of dishes made with figs and, of course, other samples of foodstuffs from the Central San Joaquin Valley.
It all takes place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. August 13, 2011. Tickets are $10 at the gate.
The fig-stravaganza is sponsored by the California Fig Advisory Board and the California Fresh Fig Growers Association.
