Eastern Shore Seafood Festival
Virginia’s Eastern Shore is synonymous with great seafood from the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean. The 43rd annual Chincoteague Seafood Festival takes place from noon to 4 p.m. May 7, 2011, on this island that’s just seven miles long and one and one-half miles wide.
Look for not only fried fish, but also oysters, Little Neck clams and other clams prepared in a variety of ways in Tom’s Cove Park, 8128 Beebe Road, Chincoteague Island, Virginia. The menu will also include boardwalk fries, grilled chicken, cornbread, and cold salads (plus surprises from local restaurants). Beer will be sold separately, but soft drinks are included in the $40 all-you-can-eat ticket price.
