“Molecule of Love” Cocktail

Submitted by on January 23, 2011 – 12:03 pmNo Comment

What could be more romantic than the two of you, sitting in French Polynesia and sipping a cocktail named the ‘Molecule of Love’ at the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa.

In years past, the hotel offered a cocktail named ‘Sea of Love’ on the Bubbles Bar cocktail menu. This drink was based on a mix of raspberry, Malibu and Champagne, and was one of the best selling cocktails.

In an effort to renew and re-create this cocktail, the hotel used properties of chemistry and captured the aromas of raspberry and strawberry in small, light bubbles. The additional ingredients have been combined into one, with the hotel actually flavoring rose champagne with coconut. From this alchemy the name of “Molecule of Love” was created, and the cocktail was born again.

The ingredients (with the addition of mixology magic, of course) are strawberries, raspberries, Malibu and rosé Champagne.
