Tea-Torials

Submitted by on September 25, 2010 – 12:50 pmNo Comment

There’s no better place to learn about Afternoon Tea than London. Fortunately for Road Trips Foodies, there are a couple of Tea-Torials scheduled at Brown’s Hotel, London, England.

Fabien Ecuvillon, Head Pastry Chef of Brown’s Hotel, will host the ‘Tea-Torials’ in the hotel’s English Tea Room. This is a unique experience for just six patrons, who will have an informal afternoon of culinary learning topped off with Traditional Afternoon Tea.

There are two remaining dates for 2010. The next event is October 17, 2010, and will be themed around chocolate. The one on December 12, 2010, revolves around Christmas tea traditions. Each starts at 2:30 p.m., and each is £85 per person.

Fabien Ecuvillon’s ‘Tea-Torials’ include:
• A demonstration on how to make Brown’s award-winning scones, a selection of cakes including their famous Victoria sponge.
• Full Traditional Afternoon Tea in The English Tea Room with Fabien, who will answer any additional questions guests may have.
• Recipes and some sweet treats to take home.

Obviously, advance reservations are required. Psst: the English Tea Room received the ‘Top London Afternoon Tea 2009’ award from The Tea Guild.
