Food and Wine in Indiana’s Brown County
The rural hamlet of Nashville, Indiana, stages its fourth annual Taste of Brown County on April 23 and 24, 2010. Some 20 restaurants are participating. Taste tickets are $1 each, and can be purchased at the Visitors Center (corner of Main and Van Buren streets) and at Coachlight Square on South Van Buren Street.
And, Road Trips Foodies, as long as you’re heading to Brown County, consider a stop at the Indiana Wine Fair, set for April 24, 2010, at the Story Inn (its post office address is Nashville, but it’s really a bit south of town on Ind. 135). It’s the largest wine event in Southern Indiana, with more than 30 Indiana wineries providing samples from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $15.
