Wine Tasting by Train in Western Canada
Geared towards wine enthusiasts, the new GoldLeaf Themed Experiences – Wine Tasting package from Rocky Mountaineer allows guests to split up their two-day rail journey between Vancouver and Banff with time to explore the wineries of the Okanagan Valley. It’s an eight-day, seven-night trip that operates between British Columbia and Alberta. The package includes a guided tour of the region, visits to seven wineries, wine-paired meals and two days onboard Rocky Mountaineer’s GoldLeaf Themed Coach. Guests overnight in deluxe accommodations along the trip. There are two scheduled in 2010, a departure on June 17, 2010, and a second on September 9, 2010. Rates start at $7499 CDN per person, based on double occupancy.
