If you can read that, Road Trips Foodies — and you love cheese — head to the Gstaader Käsekathedrale in Switzerland. Yeah, that means the Cheese Cathedral. This monument to the Gstaad-style delicacy has been assembled by master cheese maker Hanspeter Reust. More than 3000 rounds of the dairy treat (including historic rarities) are enshrined here, beneath a well-established Molkerei (dairy). Displays tell the story of cheese, from “grass to gourmet”. There is, of course, a shop with every kind of cheese the dairy produces. Start your visit at Molkerei Gstaad, Gsteigstrasse, Gstaad, Switzerland. If you want to tour the Cheese Cathedral in person, it’s best to call ahead (033 744 11 15).
