Next month, Expressions d’Origine, a group of outstanding Beaujolais producers, will
begin a tour of three American cities to present their wines to wine trade professionals,
consumers, and press.

The group will host a series of events in New York City (June 1), Chicago (June 2) and Washington, DC (June 3), to present a portfolio of Beaujolais at tastings highlighting the diversity of the famous French winemaking region. Member wineries of the group who will visit the US include Château des Jacques, Domaine des Terres Dorées, Domaine du Vissoux, Domaine Marcel Lapierre, Domaine de la Madone,
Château Thivin, and Domaine Cédric Chignard, among others. The portfolio presented by the 14
producers represents 9 of the 10 crus of Beaujolais, appellation Beaujolais Villages, appellation
Beaujolais, and vins de tradition.

Formed in 2008, Expressions d’Origine was established to improve quality in the region.

The New York Chapter of the Ordre des Compagnons du Beaujolais, a fraternal group dedicated to
honoring the traditions of Beaujolais winemaking, will welcome the group at their concurrent
quarterly chapter dinner for wine importers and enthusiasts.

In Chicago, a seated consumer dinner at Cyrano’s Bistrot Wine Bar & Cabaret will pair wines from a
selection of the Expressions d’Origine producers with the cuisine of chef Didier Durand. Tickets for
the cocktail reception and 2-hour, 6-course dinner will be made available to the public for $99.

In Washington, DC, the final stop on the three-city tour, the Expressions d’Origine producers will
hold an evening tasting for consumers at the Whittemore House, pairing a wide variety of Beaujolais
crus to different cuisines from around the world. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase from French Wine Society.
