Keg and Case West 7th Market, Saint Paul, Minnesota, has topped USA Today’s 10 Best List for New Food Hall in 2019.

Food halls are one of the biggest trends on the culinary landscape, with an estimated 180 of them across the U.S., and new options opening every month. Entries to the USA Today contest include food halls and dining destinations throughout the U.S. The contest was open for voting for a month, and Keg and Case beat out popular new food halls including destination spots in Houston, New Orleans, and Las Vegas. All 23 of the businesses at Keg and Case are independent and locally-owned.

“What a fantastic way to start the year!” said founding partner Craig Cohen. “We are all so grateful to everyone who has supported us in so many ways since we opened last September. It’s been wonderful to watch people from all walks of life experiencing everything that the market has to offer.”

Located on the grounds of the iconic Schmidt Brewery at 928 West 7th Street, Saint Paul’s Keg and Case West 7th Market is a culinary and retail marketplace that includes combination of chef-driven restaurants, craft beer and a uniquely curated market brimming with an eclectic mix of regional goods.

Anchor tenants include Sweet Science Ice Cream, Five Watt Coffee, cheese-lovers favorite Gazta and Enhancements, Revival Smoked Meats and the much-lauded In Bloom restaurant, where all offerings are cooked over the fire of a visually stunning 20-foot hearth. Pimento Jamaican Kitchen is slated to open mid-to-late February and the popular Clutch Brewing occupies a large portion of the market’s mezzanine level.

The market has offerings ranging from mushrooms grown on site, to honey, cold-pressed juice, pickles, pizza, doughnuts, organic cotton candy, switchel, chocolates and confections, grilling rubs and spices, Middle Eastern treat halva, take-out healthy meals and much more. Retail offerings include dog treats, local art and pottery and an on-site florist. The market will offer pop-up and seasonal events throughout the year, both indoors and in the market’s outdoor park area.
