Comedy, Cars . . . and Dinner
It’s an intriguing combination. Elkhart Lakes Road America, N7390 Hwy 67, Plymouth, Wisconsin, plans an improv comedy dinner January 25, 2019. Tickets are $60.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. On stage: ComedyCity of De Pere.
Here’s Road America’s explanation of the evening:
“Improv, or improvisational comedy, is defined as the ability to create and perform spontaneously or without preparation. In short, nothing is scripted – they make stuff up on the spot. It’s comedy without a net.
“What can you expect? ComedyCity doesn’t force audience members to come on stage or anything like that. They will ask you to participate, shout out suggestions when asked for them (i.e. “What’s something you see in a garage?”) that they incorporate into scenes, songs, and sketches, and occasionally they ask for volunteers to join them.
Then, there are the munchies: Smoked Salmon, Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts, Italian Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms, BBQ Meatballs, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Cheese, Sausage and Crackers Tray, Fresh Vegetable and Dill Dip Tray, Fruit Tray, Mini Finger Sandwiches, Silver Dollar Sandwiches, and Assorted Dessert Bars.”
It’s the next in the “4 Mile Dinner” series — “4 miles” because that’s the length of the race track.
