Chocolate Trail in East Central Indiana
Richmond, Indiana, has one of the most extensive Chocolate Trails in the Midwest, Road Trips Foodies, and it covers much of Wayne County, Indiana.
Stops include chocolate tea, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cheese, chocolate-raspberry wine, and French silk pie.
The best way to drive the trail is by stopping first at the Old National Road Welcome Center, 5701 National Road East, Richmond, Indiana. There you can pick up the trail passport. It has, of course, all the names, addresses and offerings of the various stops on the trail, but the real reason to get one is personal: present a passport at each participating business and you’ll receive a free chocolate sample.
Your Road Trips Foodie is heading for Building 125, 125 West Main Street, Cambridge City, Indiana, for chocolate-covered cherry jelly beans (just down the street from Main Street Sweets Café, 109 West Main Street, Cambridge City, Indiana, which offers homemade chocolate fudge). Oh, choices! choices!
