bread-basketFood is a universal language. We all need it. But it is more than that. Food says so much about who we are, where we’ve been, what we care about.

“Breadbasket: Seed to Spoon” explores the food history of Rock County, Wisconsin. On display through December 30, 2014, it is an opportunity to discover the bounty of food history and heritage in the area through immersion in local culinary traditions and food facts.

It’s on display at the Helen Jeffris Wood Museum Center, 426 North Jackson Street, Janesville, Wisconsin (part of the Rock County Historical Society).

Exhibit hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. It’s part of the center’s year-long program to educate the public about the area’s food history while helping area food pantries.
