Gingerbread House Contest in Mystic
Calling all Gingerbread House fans: you are invited to enter a Gingerbread House Contest at Olde Mistick Village in Mystic, Connecticut.
Entries will be divided into three categories: 1) Individuals, Families, and Children; 2) Businesses, Churches and Community Groups; and 3) Professional Culinary Individuals and Groups. All Gingerbread Houses must be 100% edible with exception of the base. The contest entries will be displayed in select businesses at Olde Mistick Village from December 4 through December 7, 2014.
Winners in each category will be chosen by People’s Choice voting between noon and 5 p.m. December 6, 2014, at the Holiday Carnival. Winners will be announced in the Meeting House at 6 p.m. that day.
Entries to the Gingerbread House contest must be received by November 21, 2014. Entry forms are online.
The event, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Olde Mistick Village Merchants Association.
