chestnuts-europeanDid you know, Road Trips Foodies, that chestnuts used to be a staple in the diets of the residents of Cévennes, Haut Languedoc and the foothills of the Pyrénées in the South of France?

The fest is a celebration of fall as well as a gourmet event (think: local produce — especially grilled chestnuts).
