Midnight Chef’s Table Series

Submitted by on March 24, 2013 – 8:14 amNo Comment

florida_miami_yardbirdAs every Road Trips Foodie has discovered, it can be tough getting into a popular restaurant on the weekends.

That’s true for Chef Jeff McInnis’s Miami (Florida) restaurant, Yardbird, as well. This Southern-cuisine-focused spot, which is (it’s said) single-handedly reviving soul food in South Beach, started raking in accolades last year (map).

But probably the most sought-after reservation slot is several hours later than the weekend dinner rush. McInnis’s Midnight Chef’s Table series is scheduled twice monthly on the second and fourth Fridays.

A small group of night-owl diners can score a seat around a communal table in front of Yardbird’s open kitchen once the regular dinner service finishes at midnight. Attendees get a special meal, served family style and accompanied by a paired cocktail prepared tableside.
