There’s lots happening at the annual Trailing of the Sheep set for October 11, 12, 13 and 14, 2012, but Road Trips Foodies should be sure to be there for the Lamb Feast.

Held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. October 13, cooking will be Wood River Valley culinary experts including Chef Tim Filgate, CK’s Real Food, di Vine, Fresshies, Power House and Rasberry’s. It’s part of Saturday’s Folklife Fair, which also includes demonstrations of sheep shearing and sheep herding with stock dogs, displays of sheep wagons, crafts for children, spinning and weaving demonstrations by regional and local artisans.

If you can’t be there for the feast, area restaurants are serving up lamb specials during the festival.

There’s a complete schedule on line for the event, which takes place in Ketchum and Hailey, Idaho.
