Concerto in Eight Courses
A choreographed celebration of music, food and wine is planned for “Concerto in Eight Courses”, a collaboration between Mercury and Triniti set for June 10, 2012, in Triniti Restaurant, 2815 South Shepherd, Houston, Texas (map).
Mercury’s 15-musician orchestra ensemble under the direction of Maestro Antoine Plante will perform music choreographed to an eight-course dinner and wine tasting menu created by Triniti Executive Chef Ryan Hildebrand and Sommelier Fred Zennati.
Each musical piece will evoke a particular vision, mood and/or feel specific to that menu item. According to Plante, the audience should expect to hear selections from Handel, Vivaldi and others.
Dinner is $220 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Forty percent of all ticket sales will benefit Mercury by supporting the orchestra’s concerts and music education programs. Seating is limited.
