Boston Cocktail Summit
Bartenders, mixologists and cocktail enthusiasts from all over the world are expected in Boston, Massachusetts, October 4 through 6, 2012, for the area’s first-ever citywide cocktail event.
A three-day celebration open to the public, the Boston Cocktail Summit will highlight the city’s history of mixology, New England’s breweries, wineries and distilleries.
Expected are mixology superstars like Dale DeGroff and Tony Abou-Ganim, international spirits authorities like Steve Olsen and Doug Frost, and home-grown talent like Brother Cleve, Jackson Cannon, and Misty Kalkofen.
Evenings will be filled with cocktail dinners prepared by local chefs, galas, parties and cocktail contests. It all benefits Lovin’ Spoonfuls, Share Our Strength, and The Jimmy Fund.
The Boston Cocktail Summit is being presented by the newly-formed Greater Boston Beverage Society, a non-profit organization that was founded by Alexei Beratis and Jamie Walsh to preserve and promote Boston’s cocktail and hospitality culture and spirits history while supporting local and national beverage industry related charities.
