Food and Wine in Tuscany
Interested in exploring the food and wine of Tuscany, Road Trips Foodies? Consider a wine adventure offered by Food & Wine Trails of Santa Rosa, California.
Ultimate Tuscany is a four-night package May 13 through 17, 2012, timed to precede Divino Tuscany, a wine festival in Florence, Italy, May 17 through 20, 2012 (it can be purchased independently or as an addition to attending the festival).
The tour visits three of Tuscany’s wine regions: Bolgheri, Montalcino and Chianti Classico. Included are medieval villages, wineries, winemaker-led vineyard tours, wine-paired lunches and diners and a gala farewell dinner in a castle.
At Divino Tuscany 2012, visitors will taste wines from Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Valdicava and have the chance to meet and mingle with Italian wine “royalty”. Some of these producers have noble lineage dating-back hundreds of years whose ancestors planted vineyards that now produce some of the world’s most sought-after wines.
