Tasting History Tours
Planning your coastal North Carolina driving itinerary, Road Trips Foodies? What about exploring Pleasure Island with all your senses with Tasting History Tours.
The 2-1/2 hour tour starts at Treehouse Bistro, covering Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Fort Fisher (just south of Wilmington).
From its beginnings as a tourist destination, the island has weathered destructive fires, tragic hurricanes, naval battles and more. Tasting History takes you through the streets and into a few of the restaurants to taste some of what the locals have to offer.
Since you’ll be on your feet about half of the time, it’s recommended that you wear comfortable shoes (and an expandable waistband).
