101 chili cooks are competing for top honors at the 32nd annual DC101 Chili Cook-Off set for May 21, 2011, on the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds in Washington, D.C.
Interested in participating? The Freestyle Chili competition is full, but (at least as of this writing) Red Chili, Green Chili and Salsa are not.
The cook-off, an event sanctioned by the International Chili Society, benefits the National Kidney Foundation. Oh, yeah: it’s a rock concert, too, Road Trips Foodies. On the stage will be Weezer, Panic at the Disco, Papa Roach, Seether, Neon Trees, Paper Tongues and Middle Class Rut. That’s why tickets are $55 at the gate!
