Indiana Artisan Marketplace
Sometimes you just want to see who made what you’re gonna eat. Road Trips Foodies wandering central Indiana have that opportunity on April 16 and 17, 2011, during the Indiana Artisan Marketplace in the Exposition Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 East 38th Street, Indianapolis.
In addition to browsing the booths, visitors will enjoy Indiana music, literary readings, live art and craft demonstrations, and food and drink tasting. A list of participants is online.
The Indiana Artisan Marketplace is more than artisan food — it’s also a chance to buy artwork directly from the Hoosiers who make it, to meet the artisans and to share their stories. A big plus: visitors will be able to watch artisans as they create their food products and artwork.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 16 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 17. Admission is $8, and parking is $3.
