Raid the Kitchen Pantry

For over a decade, travelers staying at the Merrion Hotel, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin, Ireland, have indulged in house-crafted culinary delicacies. With the launch of The Merrion Pantry, guests can now “raid” the hotel’s pantry and take these specialty products home with them.

The Merrion Pantry offers for sale a selection of cooking oils, jams and preserves crafted in the hotel’s kitchens by Executive Chef Ed Cooney and his staff.

Using locally sourced ingredients and custom-packaged to reflect The Merrion’s Georgian architecture and charm, Chef Cooney and his staff have created a range of sweet and savory products which include Merrion chocolate and hazelnut spread, blueberry and raspberry jams, red onion marmalade, tomato relish, lemon oil, and festive items such as mulled wine and grape chutney, brandy butter and cranberry and orange sauce. The items will be available for purchase year ’round exclusively at the hotel. Everything produced for the pantry is made on the premises.

The Merrion, an amalgam of four Georgian townhouses joined with a Garden wing, has 123 guestrooms and 20 suites. The Cellar Restaurant features inventive Irish cuisine but it also includes Ireland’s only two-star Michelin restaurant called Patrick Guilbaud.
