The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience takes place May 25 through 29, 2010, involving 175 wineries and 75 restaurants. Special events include Wine Dinners on May 26, the Royal Street Stroll (pictured) May 27, and Grand Tastings in the New Orleans Superdome May 28 and 29. Seminars include “The Craft of Curing”: a lesson on curing meats; a look at Gulf seafood in “Gone Gulfing” and “Let Them Eat Cake” showcasing dessert wines and their accompaniments. “Romancing the Rhône” featuring Rhône Valley varietals. It’s sponsored by the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience, a non-profit organization.
