maine_seadogSince 1986, Maine has been at the forefront of the craft brew movement, Road Trips Foodies. The Maine Beer Trail spotlights fresh, hand-crafted, Maine-made beer by directing you to a wide range of breweries and brew pubs throughout the state. Stops on the driving tour are Allagash Brewing – Portland; Atlantic Brewing Co. – Bar Harbor; D.L. Geary Brewing Co. – Portland; Federal Jack’s Restaurant and Brew Pub – Kennebunk; Gritty McDuff’s – Portland, Freeport, Lewiston; Kennebec River Pub & Brewery – The Forks; Run of the Mill Public House – Saco; Sea Dog Brewing Co. – South Portland, Topsham, Bangor; Sebago Brewing Co. – Scarborough, Gorham, Portland; Shipyard Brewing Co. – Portland; Shipyard Brew Haus – Sunday River, Sugarloaf (seasonal); Shipyard Brew Pub – Eliot; The Inn on Peaks Island – Peaks Island, and The Liberal T Cup – Hallowell. The trail is sponsored by the Maine Brewers Guild, the Maine Restaurant Association, and Visit Maine.
