Edible Manhattan
Wandering through New York City earlier this year, your Road Trips Foodie came across a new-to-her magazine: Edible Manhattan, subtitled “Telling the Story of How Gotham Eats”. It’s a really cool locavore source for visitors to the Big Apple, not just those who actually live there! The issue I picked up in the lobby of the Four Seasons Restaurant, November/December 2009, has features on Korean food in Manhattan, the City Bakery and Whole Foods Market. Check out the website before your next trip to New York (especially the ads: Flying Pigs Farm, anyone?).
The magazine is part of a whole community of “edibles” throughout North America, including editions for Brooklyn, Queens and the East End (“Celebrating the Harvest of the Hamptons and North Fork”).
